Kalina Bańka - Kulka. Communicating vessels

Event organised by Kalina Bańka - Kulka

This is a personal project about the relationships between four women of different generations. It’s about creating bonds, motherhood, devotion, transience and sacrifice. We are shaped by the family we come from - we learn to build relationships, we acquire values and beliefs. A family is a system of Communicating vessels, everything that happens to one of its members affects the others.

Kalina Bańka - Kulka (b. Poland, 1989) has worked at the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass, Academy of art and design in Wrocław, Poland since 2013. She taught a glass class at Urban Glass NY in 2019, at Bildwerk Frauenau Germany in 2023, and at Pilchuck Glass school USA in 2024. She creates unique glass collages, objects and installations. She has received several awards and participated in several hundred glass exhibitions in Poland and around the world.
