The inspiration for this piece stems from the ever-changing and interconnected nature of our world. Inspired by the idea that boundaries are often transient, this handmade work aims to evoke a sense of unity and harmony in the face of constant change, encouraging viewers to appreciate the beauty found in the blending of diverse elements.
Boldizsár Lukácsi (b. Hungary, 1998) uses his work to examine the attraction of opposites and their interactions. Differences in values, beliefs and attitudes between generations can lead to misunderstandings. However, the artist feels it's essential to recognize that these conflicts can be opportunities for growth, learning and ultimately, greater togetherness within families and society. The soft curves formed from the strict structure reflect the emotional complexity of these human situations.
