The exhibition in Alessandro Zoppi Gallery focuses on the revival of the polychrome enamel decoration which began in the second half of the 19th century. Thanks to the work of the highest quality and the skilled entrepreneurial ability of Dr Antonio Salviati and the mastery of Francesco Toso Borella and of his son Vittorio, this technique continues in the first half of the 20th century with decorators such as Michele Pinto and Nelda Bragadin and artists such as Vittorio Zecchin and Piero Fornasetti. From the end of the 19th century to the 50s/60s of the 20th century, are on display vases, cups, basins and glassware depicting allegorical, mythological, religious representations or simply friezes and decorative elements made to enhance the light of the glass.
