In this work, the artist questions the value of defence by realising a mirrored-glass armour. The glass object, by definition "fragile", reveals the inconsistency of our defensive strategies in the lightness of the reflection. Defence should not be the occasion for further conflicts, but the effort to develop the potential of human thought, research and the arts. Preventive defence consists precisely in the foresight of investing in what is apparently more fragile and impalpable, but which in the end may prove to be the real strength. this is especially true in the case of art (intangible element) and its works (material element), also intended as an enhancement of ancient craft techniques otherwise destined todisappear (e.g. glass processing).
