The work is made of different compositions of transparent and coloured glass cubes of different sizes, installed regularly or randomly. Inspired by children's toys, the artist represents the concept of life as a game. Sayed Waked invites us to keep the passion and enjoyment of life, appreciate every moment and not take life too seriously, as there are always new opportunities available.


Born 1976,Sayed Waked studied at Art Cairo University. His job as a designer in a flameworking glass factory, allowed him to discover glass formation, sculpture, and engraving. He has participated in the plastic movement in Egypt since 2000. The artist has done 7 solo exhibitions, 42 group exhibitions, and 7 international events in Italy, Bulgaria and Turkey. His works vary between pure abstraction and figuration, transparencies and colours, with some silver and gold effects.
