Vanitas/ glass sculpture
Design Eliana Gerotto for Venice Factory. The challenge was to think of the glass in a different way as an archaic framework of shapes and colours. Eighty-eight molten reed plates ground and fitted together to form the shape of a skull. The result is unprecedented and extraordinary. Glassy brushstrokes rendered with filigree, coloured and iridescent canes. Eliana Gerotto designs and creates this extraordinary sculpture, Vanitas, continuing the successful collaboration with glass master Gianni Seguso. The event is hosted in the magnificent setting of the Radisson Collection Palazzo Nani.
