Using materials gathered from the Venetian Lagoon (flowers, branches, grasses, and other natural elements) with vases from the Yali collection, participants will create unique floral compositions and assemblages inspired by Nageire, a Japanese flower-arranging practice that is considered a more natural and spontaneous form of Ikebana. The workshops will take place in the courtyard of Casa Yali, and at the end of each workshop, every participant's arrangement will be photographed with a Polaroid camera. Throughout the week, these Polaroids will gradually come together to form a wall of images. In this way, an original "portrait" of Venice will emerge, one told through its flora, Murano glass, and the people who help bring these connections to life.
