This floral design workshop, led by Elise Bernhardt of Fleur Elise Bkln, is a collaboration with Micheluzzi Glass. We will cover the basics of flower design, focusing on Eastern principles of Ikebana and Western choreography concepts. Using Micheluzzi's extraordinary vases as our point of departure, each person will create a duet between flowers and Murano glass in a calm and supportive environment. They will leave with a beautiful bouquet and a life skill.

At the end of the workshop, participants can take their flowers home and, if they wish, will have the opportunity to purchase the vase they used during the class.

Elise Bernhardt worked in the dance world for over 30 years. Since 2018 she has been teaching Floral Design at venues including Brooklyn Botanic Garden, the Omega Institute and companies including Balmain and Jacadi. Micheluzzi Glass is a Venetian glass studio founded in 2019 by sisters Elena and Margherita Micheluzzi. Entirely handcrafted in Murano, its collections reinterpret the tradition of Venetian glass through contemporary forms, colors and textures.
