Glass Artworks at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection

Event organised by Collezione Peggy Guggenheim

Throughout The Venice Glass Week, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection offers presentations on some of the glass artworks in the permanent collection.

The short tour starts at Claire Falkenstein's iconic entrance gate, which combines iron and stained glass in a perfect synergy, and then moves on to the famous glass sculptures by Egidio Costantini, inspired by Pablo Picasso's drawings. Visitors will then discover two works in the sculpture garden of Palazzo Venier dei Leoni: Les Amants suspendus, a large colored pendant by Jean-Michel Othoniel, and Opera 3, a work by Japanese architect Mikuni Omura. The visit lasts about 20 minutes. Participation is free with the purchase of the museum entrance ticket.
