The exhibition explores the theme of engraved glass through different techniques and cold processing: ground glass, sandblasted, engraved, cameo, etched and others.
At the Palazzo Mocenigo Museum, a selection of engraved and ground 18th century Venetian glass, mostly unpublished, coming from the collections of the Museum of Glass, is exhibited. To face foreign competition, Venice began from the early 18th century to produce glass "Bohemian style" with geometric, vegetal and floral motifs or animals and hunting scenes.
