The ninth edition of The Venice Glass Week celebrates the magic of artistic glass

#TheMagicOfGlass is the hashtag-title of The Venice Glass Week 2025. An evocative reference to the wonder and enchantment that glass has inspired for centuries A material forged by fire, and transformed as if by alchemy into art: each creation is an act of magic, suspended between tradition and innovation.

The festival offers a unique chance to engage with the timeless tradition of glass, and to explore its ongoing evolution through contemporary creativity and future-facing innovation. This year, the festival received its highest number of applications ever, with hundreds of submissions from candidates in 54 different countries.

All applications were carefully reviewed and selected by the Curatorial Committee, chaired by renowned Venetian glass historian Rosa Barovier Mentasti, and composed of a panel of international glass experts: Nina Alessandri, Cristina Beltrami, Jean Blanchaert, Rainald Franz, Mikkel Hammer Elming, Susanne Jøker Johnsen, Cristina Tonini and Alma Zevi.

The Venice Glass Week 2025 awaits you from 13th to 21st September in Venice, Murano and Mestre, with an exciting new programme of events dedicated to artistic glass!
