The Venice Glass Week unveils the winners of the festival’s tenth edition

Yesterday, the Award Ceremony for the tenth edition of The Venice Glass Week took place at Palazzo Franchetti, home of the Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti, marking one of the most significant and moving moments of this year’s festival.

The ceremony opened with the Organising Committee of The Venice Glass Week awarding two symbolic Gold Medals for Glass Valour to Lino Tagliapietra and Dale Chihuly, two leading figures in contemporary glass, both of whom are represented in this year’s Festival programme by major exhibitions: Layers of Light, organised by Fondazione Lino Tagliapietra and CHIHULY: Venice 2026, organised by Pilchuck Glass School and Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park with Chihuly Studio.
