The magic of glass shines in St. Mark’s Square with Murano Illumina il Mondo

During the opening weekend of The Venice Glass Week, the fourth edition of Murano Illumina il Mondo, one of the festival’s flagship events, was also inaugurated. Until 1st November 2026, twelve new artist-designed chandeliers, created in collaboration with Murano glass furnaces, will illuminate the arches of the Procuratie Vecchie, transforming St. Mark’s Square into an open-air celebration of creativity, innovation, and the excellence of Murano glass.

Each work is the result of a direct collaboration between an artist and a glass furnace on the island, in a creative process that brings together Murano’s outstanding craftsmanship with contemporary research and design.
