Blown amber crystal piece, entirely hand-engraved using a traditional stone wheel. The 25 x 25 cm spherical shape frames the elegant figure of a peacock, symbol of beauty and royalty. Light passes through the glass, enhancing its warm tones and fine details, creating a continuous dialogue between material, gesture, and transparency.
Vanessa Cavallaro (Italy, 1971) is a crystal artisan who carries on her family tradition in wheel engraving on glass and crystal, inherited from her father in Altare. In 2016, she received the MAM – Maestro d’Arte e Mestiere Award, and in 2021, the OMA Award.
She has exhibited her creations at Homo Faber in multiple editions, interpreting an ancient technique with elegance and originality in a contemporary key.
