Valentina Miccoli: Officina

Event organised by Fondazione Musei Civici Venezia

Valentina Miccoli was born in Rome in 1980. She graduated in Modern Literature in 2006, specializing in the History of Modern Art. At the age of thirteen, she discovered glass painting during art classes at school. She continued to develop her skills as a self-taught artist, refining her technique with acrylic paints, glass enamels, and relief pastes, while constantly experimenting with new solutions and adapting her approach to the unique qualities of each medium, from bottles and goblets to vases and demijohns. She later chose to apply this technique to an unusual support: the ostrich egg. On its surface, she creates both figurative compositions—featuring plants, flowers, and animals—and intricate mosaic-like painted patterns.
