The conference will feature an overview of the importance of cadmium compounds in the current production of Murano artistic glass to achieve the full range of shades from yellow to red, alongside the resulting environmental implications impacting the island's air quality. This will be followed by a presentation on the research project, which encompassed both melting tests under controlled conditions and historical research into the substances used in past centuries.
