Archive of the Fracture is a luminous object that explores the boundary between control and the autonomy of the material. The work emerges through a glass casting process in which the plaster mold disintegrates under the effect of high temperatures, while the molten glass penetrates the fractures that form in the mold, contributing to the final shape. Each fracture preserves the trace of the moment when the material assumes the role of creator.
Živa Vaukan (Slovenia, 2000) is an artist working between product design and sculptural practice, with a strong focus on material experimentation and process. Her research centers on glass as a living material, exploring its behavior under heat, its capacity for transformation, and its interaction with light.
