The Magic Realism project explores the native floral ecosystems of the Andes through four series of flowers that hold strong symbolic significance in Colombian history. Entirely made of glass, the works highlight the versatility of the material, capturing the vibrant beauty and fragility of Andean flora while evoking the need for its preservation and care.
Anuar Kadamani González (Colombia, 1996), known as “Astral Glass”, is an artist and sculptor from Bogotá, graduated from the University of the Andes. Since 2015, he has explored the convergence of science, mysticism, and glass. His practice combines different materials to narrate spiritual and ancestral experiences, transforming glassmaking into a ritual that reveals fragility, depth, and the ephemeral nature of the world.
