Martin Sedlak. Ghost

Event organised by Martin Sedlak

Mimicry is a superficial resemblance between unrelated species that has evolved as a defense strategy against predators. Martin Sedlák is fascinated by concise, precise definitions capable of accurately describing reality. What interests him even more, however, is their application to human life and to art itself.

Martin Sedlák (Slovakia, 1978) graduated from the Department of Glass at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. Active on the international art scene since 2000, his works are held in numerous public and private collections, including those of the Slovak National Gallery and the Czech National Gallery. Since 2023, he has been working at Berengo Studio in Murano, in the department dedicated to glass casting.
