Antonio dei Rossi. Heritage

Event organised by Antonio dei Rossi

Antonio dei Rossi’s work originates from figurative murrina, a virtuosic technique of Venetian glassmaking, of which he is today the sole practitioner. Through this practice, the artist develops a creative and conceptual approach that explores art-making in its technical and poetic dimensions.
Antonio dei Rossi (Italy, 1964) is a Venetian glass artist. He trained at the Art Institute and the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, and his studio-workshop is located in Burano. Born into an artistic family, he has chosen glass as the primary material of his research. He is one of the leading practitioners of figurative murrina, heir to a precious tradition of Venetian glassmaking.
