Sustainability in glass conservation

Event organised by Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia - Center for Cultural Heritage Technology

In collaboration with MUVE academy

Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) and the Musei Civici di Venezia (MUVE) have organized a public talk focused on sustainable practices in glass conservation. The talk will provide a decision-making model that utilizes greener thinking. The model will help conservators to make informed decisions about conservation practices that minimize environmental impact while still maintaining the standards of conservation. By providing this model, the talk will empower conservators to make sustainable choices in their work, contributing to a more sustainable conservation sector.
A visit at the Museo del Vetro in Murano will be organised after the talk where replica glass samples of ancient glass are exhibited monitoring the environmental parameters.
