There are many forms of glass at Ca' Foscari: the stained glass window of the Aula Baratto, enhanced by the work of the Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa who oversaw the restoration of this hall overlooking the Grand Canal in two distinct phases; the Rezzonico-style chandeliers in the Aula Magna of Ca' Dolfin, a glass processing that takes us back to Giuseppe Briati and his furnace that operated in Venice in the mid-eighteenth century. The visits will allow you to visit Palazzo Foscari and Ca’ Dolfin on Saturday morning, while the visit on Thursday 18 September will allow you to visit more of the University's locations, always following the traces of glass. The student collaborators will guide you on these routes and will have the opportunity to intrigue and involve you.
