Mare Karina presents À Jour, a solo exhibition by artist Simona Pavoni (1994), curated by Giulia Mariachiara Galiano and Costanza Longanesi Cattani. Conceived for the ninth edition of The Venice Glass Week, the show includes a trilogy of glass works, canvas pieces, a paper spatial intervention, and an organic carpet. Perforations and transparencies are crossed by light, unifying the elements. Emphasizing the vulnerability of materials and their potential to resonate with one another, the artist creates immersive environments where artworks and space merge into a single body of sensitive textures and flickering luminosity. À Jour – French for both openwork and being attuned to the present – captures the essence of a fragile installation permeable to light.
