The winter of Inari made the artist long for the surrounding bog’s summer bloom. Under a snow duvet, stamens drooped with nectar. “Väki” means the power and entities of a place. Are they joyful , or will they lure you into danger? Here, the bog is a familiar place, with ponds turned amber by peat. Spider webs glisten, and vines tangle around berries hiding in moss. Väki are the characters pulled from this apparition.
