Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia has been continuing to promote the historical and critical appreciation of the large collection it preserves on behalf of the City of Venice, through a new catalogue in the "Le Collezioni" series, dedicated to the glass beads preserved at the Murano Glass Museum.
This volume presents in its entirety the fascinating collection of 19th-century "a lume" and "rosetta" beads held by the Museum. Thanks to the extensive and meticulous work of nearly four years conducted by the catalogue's author, the bead expert and historian Augusto Panini, the collection has been studied, inventoried and photographed, thus making it accessible to the general public.
