The proceedings of the conference “Perle 3.0. The bead collections of international museums" represent a further, important chapter dedicated to the in-depth study of one of the glass products at the center of a real rediscovery in recent years, also following the registration of the "The art of glass beads" in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO which took place in 2020. The various essays included in this volume demonstrate how the collections of glass beads kept in some of the most important international museums are fundamental in trying to reconstruct in detail the history of the production of these objects over the millennia.
