Potenziale Fragile: Archeological Walk Through Murano Glass Waste

Event organised by LAWWA

In collaboration with Marina Marques

Potenziale Fragile invites participants to explore a hidden area of the Venetian lagoon where Murano glass waste emerges from the ground, revealing a landscape shaped by glassmaking traces. As a walk of exploration, the project proposes an exercise in reverse observation, inviting participants to read the site and its fragments not only as industrial waste but as material traces, reframing waste as a source of overlooked histories and value.

The workshop is part of the LAWWA programme, a platform at the intersection of glass, making, sustainability and female perspectives. Potenziale Fragile is a research and collection project on Murano glass waste by Ilaria Vettor. The project is curated by Marina Marques, art curator at CASA YALI, Venice.
