Again this year the photographic exhibition Perlere e impiraresse will be on show in honour to the pearl bead workshops - made of conterie (minuscule beads) - at the Hugo Pratt Library in Lido. The issue is ever-present yet it is a rediscovered form of art and craftsmanship and the interest given to the theme has been great: the exhibit briefly illustrates the history of this ancient tecnique in images by means of photographic documents from important Venetian archives.
