The Other Vase is a project in which the author applied their technological expertise in the design of hot-shaped glass.
The vase itself is more of a sculptural object than a utilitarian item, characterised by a thoughtful fusion of archetypal formal simplicity and refined attention to detail.

Patrik Illo (Slovakia, 1973) is an artist, designer, and curator. He currently serves as the chief designer at the Slovak glassworks
Rona a.s.; his design works can be found in thousands of homes worldwide. He also curates contemporary art and design exhibitions and organises international glass symposia. Since 2010, he has been the head of the glass studio at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava.
