The term Orogenesis comes from the ancient Greek words "óros" (hill, mountain) and "genesis". It defines all the geodynamic processes through which mountains are formed. With this collection, the artist is seeking to refine his understanding of glass flow mechanisms by comparing his technique with natural geological layers. This gives him control over the graphics drawn inside the molten material.

Jonathan Ausseresse (b. France, 1994) discovered glass in his father's stained-glass workshop. In 2016 he opened his own workshop and began designing his first collections. With Fluence, he started to assert his identity at international fairs by displaying glass pieces with a distinctive aesthetic and a meaningful production process. Today, his aim is to continue his technical research into enamelling in order to share his vision of glass.
