Event organised by ALMA ZEVI
In 2001 Vital began producing sculptures in Murano with the master blower Pino Signoretto. These took the form of an impressive glass architectural structure currently on view in the artist’s Swiss Sculpture Park, as well as using glass to represent natural elements, such as snowballs, mountains and deer's antlers.
Vital’s most well-known work in Murano glass is his quietly monumental installation '700 Snowballs', which has been exhibited internationally, including in Venice on the Isola di San Giorgio Maggiore. The '700 Snowballs' exhibition was curated by Alma Zevi in conjunction with Le Stanze del Vetro and as a collateral event to the Venice Biennale in 2013.
