Murano Honey Garden - Picnic

Event organised by Judi Harvest, Silvia Sandini, Elvilino Zangrandi

The Honey Garden was conceived and planted by the artist Judi Harvest in 2013 in a forgotten field at the back of the Giorgio Giuman glass factory in Murano.
The garden was the heart of his activity as an artist.
Four hives inhabited by as many colonies of honey bees have been installed to create awareness around the decline of the Murano glass industry and the risk of survival of the Honeybees, two endangered beauty communities.
Now, nine years later, there are 7 honey bee colonies and the furnace continues to create. For some years now, a picnic has been organized to introduce Judi's art and bees.
We invite you to join us in celebrating the beauty of nature and Murano glass and the complex, beautiful work they have in common.
