The aim of this project is that of supporting and promoting the art of Murano glass which is an integral and vital part of Italian and world culture and heritage. The idea is to guide guests through a technical, artistic and cultural path that exposes the strong roots of the Murano glass culture. At our Murano furnace from 13 until 21 September you can watch the process of glass working from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm and from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. You will be able to observe different styles and processing techniques, accompanied by one of our collaborators who will answer to your questions and curiosities. The work in the furnace, filigrana/cane and murrine techniques, cold working process used for making glasses, carafes, vases and sculptures offers to you a broad view of how the furnace and glass are experienced today in Murano.
