Montavoci and Lorenzo Passi). Through glassmaking, they explore the fragility of a society
shaped by taboos and cultural bigotry. Seeking to subtly raise awareness of issues that are
often marginalized, this exhibition is a reflection on "invisible illnesses" , conditions that are
often dismissed as psychosomatic despite being undeniably real. The suspended sculptures
embrace these illnesses, merging with pill-like forms. Bound by iron plates, they suggest both
support and restraint.
Echoing the Venetian word for "sound" while recalling the slur "crazy, " Sonài is an interactive
sound installation: Continuous borborygmi and deep, visceral rumblings emerge from the
vitreous medium, that intensify as visitors approach and touch the artworks, making, in a way,
the unseen perceptible and seen.
