The Ostrich by LSBirds is a creation from a series of animals called LSBirds. This series was created in collaboration with the Zanetti glassworks, inspired by Murano’s bestiary, and ironically aims to expand this segment of glassware, as the name clearly evokes the momentary ability to alter reality, expanding its boundaries and colours. These hallucinatory- eyed birds were born from these two distinctive features.
Michele De Piccoli (Italy, 1975) is a passionate collector of vintage glass and a designer by vocation. For years he has collaborated with Zanetti Murano, where he combines irony and experimentation. With the LSBirds collection, he reinvents the Murano bestiary in a pop key, creating creatures with psychedelic eyes and vivid colours that turn glass into a contemporary dreamlike story.
