
Melinda Doktor. Enclosed Places
Melinda Doktor (Hungary, 1998) graduated from the Secondary School of Visual Arts in Budapest in 2017, where she received the Vilmos Zsolnay award. She has been studying Glass Design at the Moholy- Nagy University of Art and Design since 2017. She designed the award for the International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival in 2019 and received the Stefan Lengyel scholarship for her dessert plate design for the Onyx fine dining restaurant in 2021 while still in postgraduate education. In her works she often uses different materials – copper, metal, pigments and stickers - with hot glass. Nowadays she mostly deals with flameworking techniques, especially with neon art making.
