Kamila Dvořáková. Marshmallow

Event organised by Kamila Dvořáková

Dvořáková aims to create an object that observers want to touch, sharing their instinct to feel the texture of the forms. With her pieces she obscures the properties of glass, making the material unclear at first glance. To achieve this, she avoids typical shapes, distorts the gloss with enamelling, and reduces its transparency with airbrush paint.

Kamila Dvořáková (b. Czech Republic, 1998) is an artist who is characterised by her distinctive approach to the material, treating it as if it was her first encounter. She explores its limits and draws inspiration from her inner world, surroundings and current social issues. She graduated from the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art and is now at the Glass Studio at Umprum. She has exhibited at Prague Designblok, Frankfurt, and won the Outstanding Student Design Award.
