Madonna of Chiaroscuro is a lecture and performative installation presented within The Venice Glass Week 2026, curated by Odeta Natalia Komorowska. The evening opens with the lecture "Ritual of Fire and Shadow in Venice", exploring glass as a material of memory, light, body and transformation, in dialogue with the works of the participating artists. It is followed by a performance in three acts — Birth, Chiaroscuro and Transcendence — combining ceramics, glass, sound and projection, in which the figure of the Madonna appears as a guardian of craft tradition and the body becomes a sensitive surface of memory, fragility and change. This is the fourth presentation at the festival of Polish glass and ceramic artists connected with the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.
The programme includes an open conversation with the audience.
Artists: Przemysław Lasak, Odeta Natalia Komorowska, Monika Aleksandrowicz, Katarzyna Gemborys, Magdalena Zarychta, Jarosław Kozioł, and Celloice (Hanna Błachuta and Kinga Chudzikowska).
