Curated by Fondazione Lino Tagliapietra together with Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia, Lino Tagliapietra. The Origins of a Journey wants to pay homage to an artist, traveler, experimenter, during his constant search for stimuli he can transfer to his works, including passionate research, technical perfection, and sublimation of the beauty of glass.
The exhibition at Ca’ Rezzonico will provide an opportunity to celebrate and interrogate the great works of the Muranese master, exploring his technical skill in the world of glass, as well as his unique artistic experimentation, tracking his development from the early stages of his career right up to present day. The solo show will also present an extensive portrait of the man behind the artworks, allowing an audience to truly encounter Tagliapietra and learn more about his extraordinary life.
