Janine opens the spheres while the glass is still glowing hot, revealing luminous, water-like interiors.
The contrasts found in nature are at the heart of her practice: inside–outside, soft–rough, life–death. Each piece is unique – like every tree, like every person.
Janine Thüngen-Reichenbach (Germany, 1964) is a German born sculptor based in Rome and Venice.
