Exhibition Reception: The Venetian Glass, between Greek Mythology and Contemporary Art (to wear)

Event organised by Graziella Giusto Madamadorè

Ancient Greece in Venice: where we will talk about Ariadne, Theseus and Dionysus. The hope that myth can convey is especially suitable for the historical moments we are experiencing. Ariadne saves Theseus from an impossible labyrinth, in which Theseus kills the Minotaur and from which, by rewinding the ball of yarn given to him by Ariadne, he is saved.
While Theseus will abandon his former saviour with his ship, Dionysus falls in love with her and asks her to marry him by giving her a diadem forged by Hephaestus, the God of Fire. What if the master glassmaker was the God of Fire? What if the ladies who will wear the jewels with Murano pearls and conteria were modern sea nymphs like the Nereids? All of this echoes in my creations, art and myth to be worn.
