During The Venice Glass Week, the installation Double Down will be exhibited in the beautiful garden at Palazzo Venart.
The work engages with its surroundings, reflecting and responding to the site in which it resides. The rhythms of nature - its cycles, the interplay between forces of strength and fragility - are embedded in the installation. A geometric, circular steel framework carries tubular glass elements, creating a perspective-distorting, almost kaleidoscopic effect, leaving a floating impression.
The work continuously evolves, aligning with the changing rhythms and circumstances of nature. Revealing its transformation as it mirrors and adapts to the decay and renewal in nature, Double Down fosters a dialogue between elements, place and time.
