Glassification.hu. Masters of Glass from Hungary

Event organised by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary

In collaboration with Society of Hungarian Glass Artists

The travelling exhibition "Glassification.hu. Masters of Glass from Hungary", initiated by the Hungarian state, presents twenty fresh glass masterpieces debut in Venice. The material includes museum-level glass artworks that are world-class, both in terms of their aesthetic values and technological qualities, based on unique, old or new craft techniques.

Four generations of glass artists appear in the list of ten exhibitors: Endre Gaál, László Lukácsi, Márta Edőcs, Anita Darabos, Péter Borkovics, Kyra László, Kristóf Bihari, Balázs Sipos, Eszter Bősze and Amala Varga Gyöngyvér. Each artist is represented in the exhibition with two objects, prepared for this occasion. The exhibition embodies the technological diversity typical of contemporary Hungarian glass and shows glass sculptures at a high level of abstraction.
