Domitilla Harding was born in New York and grew up in Rome, where she studied film and theatre set design at the Accademia di Costume e Moda, which led her to become a fashion designer.
A lifelong interest in preserving traditional skills and ancient techniques has led her to collaborate with craftsmen across many disciplines, also creating her own fabrics and furniture. Since 2013 she has worked closely with Murano glassblowers.
This studio presentation offers an insight into her practice in Venice, bringing together glass works that reflect her ongoing dialogue with craftsmanship. The presentation in Venice will offer a glimpse into new and recent work, alongside materials which inform her research and her process.
