Claudia Vitari's solo exhibition Claudia Vitari.Interstitial Identities. Umaru: Diary of a Migrant Journey, curated by Virginia Monteverde, forms part of the artist's larger project Interstitial Identities, dedicated to migration, asylum seeking people, and the difficulties encountered in host countries. Drawing on the personal diary of Umaru, which records his emotions, memories and shifting sense of identity during migration, the installation transforms these intimate reflections into a meditation on the condition of asylum seeking, as well as its relation to, and place within, the broader human condition.
The event Inauguration will take place on September 3rd at 6.00pm. Admission is free and no prior booking is necessary.
