The idea is to encourage you to follow and guess where the sun is without seeing it, through the reflection of its light in
the clouds that hide and reveal it.
Both works use multi-layered glass with the Luce Florio technique, which allows colour and light to modulate through with an effect similar to oil painting.
Céline Bachelot (France, 1985) began her career as a painter and poet before turning to glass, a medium she believes brings these two disciplines together. A graduate of the renowned ENSAAMA, she also holds a Master’s degree in the conservation and restoration of works of art from the prestigious Sorbonne.
She has traveled all over Europe and the world to expand her knowledge and develop projects in residencies centered on two
themes: chiaroscuro and hope.
