Psychedelic Vitality (2024) presents as a cluster of thorned, iridescent forms in glass and metal. Through her sculptural works, artist Binghui Song explores the emotional potential of matter as it melts, transforms, and solidifies – allowing process, rather than outcome, to lead the form. Her practice resists symbolic or functional definitions of objects and instead embodies lived sensation and embodied intuition.
Binghui Song (China, 1991) is an award winning, London-based multidisciplinary artist whose sculptural works in glass, metal, and
ceramic explore organic forms and emotional transformations. She is the sole founder of SONG Art & Craft, a platform for hands-on workshops, and Binghui Song Studio CIC, which provides an exhibition space and opportunities for emerging artists.
