Between tradition and innovation: a journey to discover the history of glass at Ca' Foscari.

For the 7th edition of “The Venice Glass Week", the Ca' Foscari tour offers a tailored tour dedicated to the history of Venetian glass. Starting from the Ca' Dolfin headquarters, a 16th-century palace adorned with frescoes, participants will have the opportunity to admire two monumental chandeliers belonging to the traditional school of Venetian glass, as well as the magnificent Mario Baratto Hall designed by the Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa, with its unique play of lights. Lastly, they will visit the Archive Room, where two splendid traditional mirrors crafted by master glassblowers from Murano are displayed. Through the exploration of the historical palaces of Ca' Foscari and Ca' Dolfin, the history of glass in the lagoon city will be uncovere.
The visit will last approximately 50 minutes.
