As a part of the exhibition “Back from Africa”, the Comitato per la Salvaguardia dell’Arte delle Perle di Vetro Veneziane is organizing two meetings with contemporary practitioners of the art of glass bead making, to confirm the vitality of this element of intangible culture inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since December 2020. The “Bead Talks” meetings aim to bring the public closer to the variety and richness associated with the creation and use of glass beads in the Venetian social context and beyond.
