Pentagram Stiftung awarded Annette Douglas a scholarship with Matteo Seguso on Murano in the Summer of 2023.
The Laguna collection is inspired by the magic of Venice and its tradition of glassmaking. The incalmo technique has been used to show the transition from land to sea. The inciso technique captures light’s play on water, reflecting the artist’s textile design work with patterns and structures.

Annette Douglas (b. Switzerland, 1971) is a designer and a fourth-generation professional in the textile industry. Captivated by glass craft for many years, she established her own small studio in Zurich after attending a number of workshops in the United States (Haystack) and in Germany (Bildwerk). Her works have been showcased in a range of venues.
